Piano Master Class with Dmitry Rachmanov

NLPA Artistic Advisor,  Professor of Piano at California State University Northridge

 

A sought-after master class clinician and lecturer, Dr. Rachmanov has served on the faculties of Manhattan School of Music, Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University and Long Island Conservatory, SUNY, and has appeared as a guest artist at schools such as UCLA, University of Chicago, Indiana University, Brandeis University, University of Washington, University of Iowa, University of Alaska, Tulane University, Royal Northern College of Music (UK), Shanghai Conservatory and Beijing Central Music School. This master class is open for public, and it will feature five accomplished young pianists (ages 11-17), at the piano and coached by Dr. Rachmanov.

"Beau Soir"

An Evening of French Music and Songs

National League of Performing Arts will be presenting a concert entitled ‘Beau Soir’. Based on Debussy’s celebrated song ‘Beau Soir’, this program features some of the best selections dedicated to music and songs that are associated with the theme of night and French poetry. The audience will enjoy the enchanted music by Debussy, Duparc, Ravel, Faure and de Falla.

JOSEPH SILVERSTEIN

VIOLIN MASTER CLASS and RECITAL

Legendary violinist,

Faculty, Curtis Institute of Music

The National League of Performing Arts, Inc and the Caldwell College Music Department will present Mr. Silverstein in a master class for violinists, and a highly engaging demonstration that illuminates the performance practices of the Baroque era as well as the brilliance of one of the world’s most beloved composers, Johann Sebastian Bach.

For the first half of the program, Mr. Silverstein will give a master class to selected violin students from the master class audition.  Following the master class, Mr. Silverstein will give a short program which consists of a performance of Bach Partita for solo violin, and talk on interpretation of Baroque style. 

Joseph Silverstein, legendary violinist and one of the most celebrated violin pedagogue of our generation, has served as the concert master and the assistant conductor of Boston Symphony, artistic director of Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, as well as a principle and guest conductor and a soloist with numerous orchestras throughout the world. Mr. Silverstein has been a faculty member at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, Yale University and New England Conservatory.
